Martz is an impact crater on Mars , located in the Eridania quadrangle at 35.3°S latitude and 215.9°W longitude. Marts is east of the giant impact basin Hellas Planitia . [1] It measures 97.0 kilometers in diameter and was named after American physicist and astronomer Edwin P. Martz . The name was approved by IAU's Working Group for Planetary System Nomenclature in 1973. [2]
